Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island is one of the four Atlantic Canadian Provinces. The population of PEI is approx. 139,000 and consists of three counties(Prince, Queens, and Kings). The capital of PEI is Charlottetown. PEI has many scenic beaches and rural routes to travel and the average summer temperature is approx, 25-30 degrees C or 80-90 degrees F.

Blue Knights History

Blue Knights Prince Edward Island I
Blue Knights Prince Edward Island I was issued it's charter in February 2002. The Chapter was initially organized in the late 1970's but disbanded till the present members rejeuvenated the dormant club with it's 20+ members.
The Blue Knights PEI 1 are a group of active, retired and auxillary police officers, justice and correction officers who enjoy the promotion of safe motorcycling while injecting positive community beliefs and efforts. The Blue Knights organize monthly gatherings/runs of it's members and the motorcycling public to display these ideals.

Blue Knights International
In the spring of 1974 Ed Gallant of the Bangor(Maine) P.D. and Chuck Schuman from the Brewer(Maine) P.D. met with five others and formed a small motorcycle club. The original Blue Knight Chapter soon expanded into Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Canada and beyond.As of November 2001 The Blue Knights have 14,061 members in 428 chapters in 17 countries! Blue Knight Qualifications

To become a member of Blue Knights Prince Edward Island I, you must:
1. Be an active full or part time law enforcement officer with powers of arrest.
2. Be employed by a governmental agency and receive monetary compensation, or be a retired or disabled former law enforcement officer.
3. Possess a valid license to operate a motorcycle.
4. Own a motorcycle or plan to purchase one within six months.
